Senior officials briefed him on the status of construction work and the expected dates of completion. During the review, CM Sarma directed the concerned departments to ensure timely completion of all remaining works while strictly adhering to quality and safety standards. Addressing the media, the Chief Minister said the Noonmati–Guwahati Club flyover has reached nearly 98 per cent completion and is expected to be partially opened by February 28. “The Noonmati–Guwahati Club flyover is almost complete. By February 28, we plan to inaugurate it for cycles, rickshaws, two-wheelers and private four-wheelers. Full completion is expected by March 15, after which it will be opened for all categories of vehicles,” CM Sarma said. Some work over the Chandmari section is still pending, for which traffic regulations will remain in place until full completion,” he added. The Chief Minister also announced that the Bharalumukh flyover is nearing completion and is expected to be inaugurated between February 20 and 22. “The Bharalu flyover will be one of the biggest flyovers in the country,” he said. CM Sarma further revealed that the Noonmati–Guwahati Club flyover will be named after King Prithu, while the Guwahati–North Guwahati bridge will be named after Kumar Bhaskar Varma. He also outlined future connectivity plans, stating that the Ulubari flyover will be linked to the Guwahati Club flyover, with an additional elbow connection towards Rajgarh Road. “Some minor works are still pending and will be completed gradually.
