Garg presented himself at the CID headquarters for interrogation, with reports suggesting he was on the Singapore yacht where the incident occurred.

Previously, Shekharjyoti Goswami and Amritpraba Mahanta underwent extensive questioning by the CID for a full day before being allowed to leave.

According to CID sources, eight more individuals linked to the North East Festival have been interrogated as part of the broadening inquiry.

The probe is now zeroing in on verifying if the North East Festival was actively underway during Garg's demise and gathering comprehensive narratives from those involved. The ten people questioned so far, including Goswami and Mahanta, have been directed to return for additional sessions as needed.

Upon exiting the CID office, Shekharjyoti Goswami addressed reporters, stating, "We provided responses to every query posed to us. The CID conducted individual interviews with each of us. Our group had journeyed to Singapore specifically for the festival, and authorities have requested our presence again for subsequent inquiries."

It has been reported that very soon event organiser Shyamkanu Mahanta and Zubeen Garg's manager, Siddharth Sharma may be arrested and be brought to Guwahati, Assam.
