In the first phase, 50,000 young individuals from Assam will be sent to Japan, with the potential to earn a monthly salary of up to Rs 2 lakh.AdvertismentThe scheme includes a 10-month Japanese language course, which will cost Rs 1.8 lakh. The financial burden will be shared, with the Assam government contributing Rs 1 lakh and the Japan government contributing Rs 50,000. The remaining Rs 30,000 can be borrowed from banks if needed.There are no stringent educational requirements, as candidates who have passed the HSLC exam can apply. The youth will be employed in 16 trades in Japan, with potential for future opportunities. Additionally, 10 Assam Civil Service (ACS) officers will receive Japanese language training.The Assam government is exploring similar agreements with Germany and South Korea, paving the way for more international job opportunities.
