Assam: Singer Zubeen Garg Passes Away After Scuba Diving Mishap in Singapore

Renowned Assamese singer Zubeen Garg, affectionately known as the "Heartthrob of Assam," has tragically passed away at the age of 52.

The music icon reportedly suffered a fatal health emergency during a scuba diving excursion in Singapore, where he was set to participate in the North East Festival.

According to reports, Zubeen experienced a sudden medical issue while diving, leading to his drowning in the sea.

He was rushed to a private hospital in an unconscious and critical condition and was immediately placed in the Intensive Care Unit (ICU). Despite the tireless efforts of the medical team, he could not be saved and breathed his last earlier today.

Zubeen Garg, celebrated for his soulful voice and contributions to Assamese, Bengali, and Bollywood music, leaves behind a profound legacy.
