The delegation's visit aimed to observe ongoing initiatives under an Assam government project focused on forest and biodiversity conservation within the national park. During their visit, the team explored the park's scenic beauty and rich wildlife on a jeep safari, getting up close with the park's diverse flora and fauna.

As part of their visit, a new website was launched to facilitate tourism in Nameri, providing a one-stop platform for tourists to plan their trip.

About Nameri National Park

Located in the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas, Nameri National Park spans over 200 square kilometers and is part of the larger Nameri Tiger Reserve. The park is renowned for its rich biodiversity, boasting over 600 floral species, 300 bird species, and various mammals, including Bengal tigers, Indian elephants, and clouded leopards.

The park's landscape is a mix of semi-evergreen, deciduous forests, and grasslands, with the Jia Bhoroli River flowing through it. Visitors can enjoy a range of adventure activities, including jeep safaris, river rafting, trekking, and birdwatching in the park.
