Coincidentally, the date aligns with the Governor’s birthday, and Mohilary stated that if the Governor attends, his birthday will be celebrated in Kokrajhar.Addressing key issues, Mohilary said that resolving land-related problems remains the top priority for the BTC. “The issue of land is central to BTC, and we will work diligently to address it,” he said.Mohilary also expressed openness to collaboration, stating that the BTC would respect and welcome support from all quarters. He noted that Pramod Boro has already pledged assistance, and the Chief Minister of Assam has echoed similar sentiments.“We will not turn away anyone who comes forward to help. We plan to hold a meeting in the next couple of days to finalise decisions on this matter,” he added.Mohilary is set to meet the Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Sunday evening to formally invite him to the oath-taking ceremony.“The Chief Minister is the boss of Assam. How can we not invite him?”, Mohilary remarked.In a tribute to the late singer Zubeen Garg, Mohilary announced that a statue of the beloved artist and a dedicated park will be constructed in Kokrajhar to honour his legacy.
