Miscreants set DY365's vehicle on fire amidst protest against Zubeen Garg death case accused

The situation outside Baksa Jail spiraled out of control on Wednesday as clashes broke out between police personnel and supporters of popular singer Zubeen Garg. The incident led to widespread violence, arson and chaos in the area.

According to reports, a vehicle belonging to news channel DY365 was set ablaze by agitated individuals, causing severe injury to one of its journalists. Several police vehicles were also torched by sections of the enraged crowd. In an attempt to bring the situation under control, police resorted to lathi-charge and fired shots in the air to move the mob. Tear gas shells were also used as the situation worsened.

The protestors, reportedly fans of Zubeen Garg, engaged in stone-pelting, leaving several police personnel and journalists seriously injured. The violent confrontation caused panic in the area, with nearby establishments shutting down as the unrest intensified.

Authorities have deployed paramilitary forces in the region to restore order and prevent further escalation. Police officials have appealed for calm, urging people not to take the law into their own hands.

Efforts are currently underway to bring the situation back to normal as tension continues to grip the Baksa Jail area following the violent clashes.
