What PM Modi Will Unveil in Assam: Mega Projects, Massive Rallies and a Two-Day Power Visit

Prime Minister Narendra Modi will undertake a two-day visit to Assam beginning December 20, during which he will inaugurate key infrastructure projects and participate in multiple official and public engagements in Guwahati and Namrup.

The Prime Minister is scheduled to arrive in Guwahati on December 20 afternoon. His first programme will be the inauguration of the newly constructed terminal at the Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi International Airport, Borjhar, at around 3 pm. During the event, he will also unveil a statue of Bharat Ratna Lokpriya Gopinath Bordoloi installed outside the terminal premises.

Following the inauguration, Prime Minister Modi will take part in a roadshow in Guwahati and later address a large public gathering. The Bharatiya Janata Party has set a target of around one lakh attendees for the rally.

The Prime Minister will also visit the BJP’s state headquarters at Basistha, where he will address Members of Parliament, Members of the Legislative Assembly and senior party functionaries. He will stay overnight in Guwahati.

On December 21, Prime Minister Modi will interact with students under the ‘Pariksha Pe Charcha’ programme at the Brahmaputra riverfront. He will then visit the Swahid Smarak Kshetra (martyr’s memorial) at Boragaon to pay homage.

Later in the day, the Prime Minister will travel to Namrup in Dibrugarh district, where he will lay the foundation stone of the Brownfield Ammonia-Urea Complex. The project, with an estimated investment of about ₹10,000 crore, is designed to produce 12.5 lakh metric tonnes of urea annually. The Prime Minister will also address a public rally in Namrup before concluding his visit.
