Former Indian Cricketer Shikhar Dhawan Ties the Knot with Sophie Shine

Mumbai: Former Indian cricketer Shikhar Dhawan got married to his longtime partner Sophie Shine on February 21 in a private ceremony in Delhi NCR, attended by close friends and family. 

Who is Sophie Shine?

Sophie Shine is Irish and works as a product consultant. She graduated from the Limerick Institute of Technology and also has a degree in marketing and management. She studied at Castleroy College and previously worked as the second vice president at Northern Trust Corporation in Abu Dhabi, UAE.

Sophie also works with Shikhar in his ventures. She leads the Shikhar Dhawan Foundation, a non-profit, and is the COO (Chief Operating Officer) of Da One Sports.

The couple reportedly met for the first time at a restaurant in Dubai. Rumours about their relationship started after they were spotted at Punjab Kings matches in 2024 and at the ICC Champions Trophy 2025. In June last year, Sophie confirmed their relationship on social media.

On January 12, they shared their engagement pictures on Instagram, with a post caption: 'From shared smiles to shared dreams. Grateful for the love, the blessings, and every good wish for our engagement as we choose togetherness forever.'

Dhawan’s Personal Life

Shikhar Dhawan divorced Ayesha Mukherjee in October 2023 after 11 years of marriage. The Delhi court granted him visitation rights to his son, Zoravar, but did not grant him permanent custody.
