The popular cooking reality show MasterChef India Season 9 concluded its grand finale on March 6. The title went to brothers Vikram Gandhe and Ajinkya Gandhe from Nagpur. They impressed the judges all season with their creativity and teamwork. The duo received the Golden Chef Coat, the winner’s trophy, and a cash prize.

This season saw a new and exciting Jodi (pairs) concept, with 50 pairs participating in the show, each with their own special bond and cuisine to share with the MasterChef kitchen. The grand finale saw the legendary maestro, Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, along with the popular trio of judges, Chef Vikas Khanna, Chef Ranveer Brar, and Chef Kunal Kapur.

MasterChef India 2026 winners

In the presence of Chef Sanjeev Kapoor, Vikram and Ajinkya were named the champions of MasterChef India Season 9. Sai Sri and her mother, Chandana, who previously appeared on MasterChef Telugu, finished as the first runners-up. Anju and Manju, sisters from Odisha, took the second runner-up spot.

Earlier in the competition, Anshmeet Singh and Prabhdeep Kaur were eliminated, ending the season as the third runners-up. Simran and Himanshi Vohra made it to the top five but were eliminated during the semi-final week.

Who are the MasterChef India 2026 winners?

Vikram began his cooking journey at just 19 when he opened a small canteen. By 22, he launched Choti Delhi Restaurant, which he later sold after three years. During the pandemic, he started Project Baked, and later the Gandhe brothers ventured into another project called Place.

Ajinkya, Vikram’s younger brother, is an architect. At 24, he opened his first cafe in Goa, blending his design background with his passion for food and hospitality.

Throughout the competition, the Gandhe brothers impressed the judges with their innovative recipes and strong teamwork. Their calm and organised approach helped them excel in high-pressure challenges. They also gained recognition for their remarkable dessert-making skills, delighting judges and guest chefs with their creations.
