Guwahati city reels from tragic love triangle turned murder

A gruesome murder has shaken the residents of Guwahati city, Assam, after a young woman's dead body was discovered in a house at Lakshmi Nagar, Hatigaon. The police found the body wrapped in a blanket on a bed, along with cash worth Rs 1.5 lakhs, drugs, and other incriminating materials.

The prime suspect in this case is Rohan Kashyap alias Nayan Das, a resident of Bhetapara, who was living with his girlfriend in the same house where the body was found. However, investigations revealed that Rohan is already married and has a daughter.

According to reports, Rohan's girlfriend had left for her village a week ago, and he allegedly took advantage of her absence to bring another woman to the house. When the girlfriend returned on Friday night, she stumbled upon the dead body and immediately informed the police.

The forensic and CID teams have examined the crime scene, and the police have taken the girlfriend into custody for interrogation. However, Rohan Kashyap remains absconding, and the police are working to apprehend him.

The Guwahati police are working to unravel the circumstances surrounding this case, and investigations are ongoing.
