Service Lane on NH-27 Turning into a Daily Danger Zone

While today’s collision occurred on the main carriageway of NH-27, the service lanes on both sides of the dual highway — particularly between Khanapara and Jalukbari — have increasingly turned into chaotic and unsafe zones.

It may be mentioned that the daily commuters told DY365 Digital that many vehicles, including two-wheelers and even commercial vans, routinely drive on the wrong side of the service lanes to save time, leading to frequent near-misses and severe traffic jams, especially during morning and evening office hours.
