Identified as Chunchuni Konwar (mother) and Sonakshi Konwar (daughter), a first grade student, the victims were found dead in their home, while the father, Kalyan Konwar, lay injured. He has been rushed to the nearest hospital for treatment.
According to eyewitnesses, neighbors heard shouting from the Konwar residence around 2 am last night, but Kalyan dismissed it, claiming everything was fine. However, when no one responded this morning, locals alerted the police, who broke into the house and discovered the horrific scene.

The police have sent the bodies for post-mortem and launched an investigation into the incident. The District Police Superintendent assured that the forensic team will examine the scene, and no one has been allowed inside the room to preserve evidence.

While the explanation behind the incident remains unclear, locals speculate that Kalyan, a poultry shop owner, might have been struggling with mental health issues due to illness, leading to this tragic incident. The police are yet to confirm any details, and the investigation is ongoing.
