At the Me’gong Festival 2025 in Meghalaya on Saturday night, singer Kanika Kapoor was reportedly interrupted during her performance when a fan breached security and rushed onto the stage, grabbing her legs. Eyewitnesses said the individual bypassed barricades and reached the performer within seconds. Security personnel quickly removed the man from the stage. Kapoor continued her performance without interruption.

In Mumbai, at Rolling Loud India, Punjabi singer and rapper Karan Aujla was hit in the face by a T-shirt thrown from the crowd. Aujla managed the incident calmly, wiping his face before returning to his performance.

Meanwhile, at a Post Malone concert in Guwahati’s Khanapara on Monday night, a foreign tourist, Emma, posted a video on Instagram (@discoverwithemma_) alleging that she and her friend Amina were repeatedly touched without consent in the crowded venue. Emma said they were forced to move toward the vendor section for safety, leaving the front of the concert. Both women clarified that the incident does not reflect the city’s overall safety, noting that many attendees intervened to assist them.

These incidents have drawn attention to the need for improved crowd control and security measures at large-scale music events across the country. Organizers and security teams have yet to issue detailed statements regarding changes or preventive measures following these occurrences.
