No details were made public owing to the sensitive nature of internal security issues, but continuous monitoring has been in place ever since.He clarified that there are currently no major incidents or reasons for alarm, while stating that the importance of ongoing vigilance to prevent any potential threats was needed.Regarding physical infrastructure, Sangma said that border fencing has been completed along the majority of the stretch, with only 30-40 km remaining unfenced in isolated pockets, primarily in West Jaintia Hills and parts of South Garo Hills districts.Delays have arisen due to challenges such as land acquisition difficulties, local opposition, and pending court cases.
