A scandal has rocked the Dhing First Referral Unit (FRU), Nagaon after it was discovered that a pharmacist and a rented counterpart were operating the pharmacy without necessary credentials.

A shocking incident has come to light at the Dhing First Referral Unit (FRU), where a pharmacist and his accomplice, a rented pharmacist, were found running the pharmacy without proper authorization.

According to reports, the Dhing FRU's Deputy Superintendent, Dr. Mukut Bora, received information about the irregularities and immediately informed the Dhing police. The police arrived at the scene and arrested pharmacist Sukumar Dutta and rented pharmacist Muksidul Islam from the FRU premises.

Sources revealed that Sukumar Dutta was distributing medicines to patients with Muksidul Islam at his own discretion and in secret understanding, without any instructions from FRU authorities. This could have led to a major health crisis due to potential medication errors.

The Dhing police took both accused into custody and booked them under relevant sections. The incident raises questions about the lack of oversight and accountability in the hospital's administration.

The health department is expected to take stringent action against Sukumar Dutta and others involved in the scandal.

The authorities are investigating the matter, and further action will be taken based on the findings.
