The decision was finalized during an awareness meeting held in the presence of the Samaguri Revenue Circle Officer. Following detailed discussions on the rising concerns of drug addiction and early marriages in the region, the Bajiagaon Regional Mosque and Graveyard Committee formally endorsed the resolution.

Community leaders stated that the primary objective behind this step is to transform Bajiagaon into a drug-free and child-marriage-free village. By denying religious funeral rites to offenders, the community hopes to send a strong message and deter such harmful practices.

Residents have widely welcomed the decision, calling it a bold initiative to protect the younger generation and uphold moral discipline within the society.
