93rd Air Force Day: IAF to dazzle Guwahati with its first-ever full-scale air show in Northeast

The Indian Air Force (IAF) is set to host its first-ever full-scale air show in the Northeastern region, taking place at Lachit Ghat in Guwahati on November 9, 2025. This spectacular event is part of the 93rd Air Force Day celebrations, marking a significant milestone in the region's aviation history.

The air show promises to be a breathtaking display of aerial prowess, featuring over 75 aircraft and 25 formations. Visitors can expect to witness stunning maneuvers, coordinated formations, and a showcase of the nation's aerial might, with frontline fighter planes like the Rafale, Sukhoi-30, Apache, and MIG-29 taking center stage.

The IAF will showcase a range of aircraft, including fighter jets such as the Rafale, Sukhoi-30, Apache, MIG-29, Mirage, and Jaguar. Transport aircraft like the C-17 Globemaster, C-130 Hercules, and Antonov AN-32 will also be on display, alongside helicopters like the MI-17 and Advanced Light Helicopter-MK1. The IL-78 refueler and the Surya Kiran aerobatic team will add to the excitement.

The event aims to inspire the youth of the Northeast, highlighting career opportunities in the IAF and promoting patriotism, discipline, and service to the nation. The flypast will be open to the public, with designated viewing areas along the Brahmaputra riverbank.
