The initiative targets multiple sectors, including animal husbandry, piggery, fisheries, poultry farming, horticulture, handloom, bamboo, eco-tourism, and beekeeping, to boost livelihoods and socio-economic growth in Siang and Upper Siang districts.

The package includes creating new infrastructure, upgrading existing facilities, and establishing support systems like common facility centres, craft-based resource centres, marketing hubs, urban haats, emporia, and raw material depots.

Officials stated that the scheme will enhance the quality of life and strengthen the region’s socio-economic framework, reflecting the Centre’s commitment to inclusive and sustainable development in Arunachal Pradesh. The interventions are designed to empower local communities, fostering sustainable livelihoods and preparing them for opportunities arising from the SUMP.

This strategic investment underscores a vision for comprehensive regional development, with further details on implementation to follow as the project progresses.
