"Congress MP Renuka Chowdhury, who earlier created a stir by bringing her pet dog to Parliament on the first day of the Winter Session and making light-hearted remarks about fellow MPs, offered an odd reply when asked about a likely privilege motion in the Rajya Sabha. She remarked that she had no issue if a motion was brought against her, insisting it would not affect her in any way. Citing an example, she recalled how former Prime Minister Atal Bihari Vajpayee had once arrived at Parliament on a bullock cart. She further noted that dogs are considered significant in Hindu culture. Maintaining her stand, she said she had not violated any parliamentary norms, even as BJP leaders criticised her actions.
