RJD Worker Rajkumar Rai Shot Dead in Patna Before Polls

Rashtriya Janata Dal (RJD) leader Rajkumar Rai, who is also known as Allah Rai, was shot dead by two unidentified men in Patna on last Wednesday night, just months before the Bihar assembly elections.

The killing has sent shockwaves through the political circles as Rai was reportedly preparing to contest the elections from Raghopur assembly constituency.The incident took place in the Munnachak area of Chitragupta Nagar. According to police, Rai, who was also involved in land dealings, might have been targeted over a property-related dispute.

Patna Eastern Superintendent of Police Parichay Kumar said that six cartridges were recovered from the spot. CCTV footage from the area captured the assailants carrying out the attack before fleeing. This Incident happened wednesday night as per reports, now Police investigations is under  Process.

A police team rushed Rai to the hospital where doctors declared him dead on arrival. Investigations going on, and Police is ready to trace and arrest the attackers. Working hard to find out who the culprits are and why do they shot Rajkumar Rai.
