Cachar Police crackdown on fake doctors: 13th arrest made in recent months

In a significant breakthrough, the Cachar police have apprehended another individual posing as a medical practitioner. Bipul Chandra Nath, a matriculate with no formal medical qualifications, was arrested from his clinic, Healthy Unique Life Clinic, in Ambikapatty, Silchar.

This arrest marks the 13th such case in recent months, highlighting the alarming prevalence of fake doctors operating in the region. According to Senior Superintendent of Police, Numal Mahatta, Nath had been deceiving patients in Silchar for a long period by producing forged MBBS certificates and other documents.

Acting on a tip-off, a police team raided Nath's clinic and seized the fake certificates. The police had previously arrested 12 other individuals for similar offenses, and further investigations are underway.
