Amit Shah to visit Assam today: High-profile inaugurations and public outreach on agenda

Union Home Minister Amit Shah is set to arrive in Assam on a two-day visit, a tour that assumes added political significance as the state heads towards Assembly elections in just a few months.

According to the official schedule, the Union Home Minister will arrive in Guwahati tonight and stay overnight at Koinadhara. His visit comes at a crucial time when political activities across Assam are gradually intensifying in the run-up to the elections.

Amit Shah will begin his engagements at 10:15 AM with a visit to the Swahid Smarak Kshetra in Boragaon, where he will pay tribute to the martyrs. Following this, he will proceed to Batadrava. At 11:30 AM, the Union Home Minister is scheduled to inaugurate the Batadrava Project, after which he will address a massive public meeting in the area.

Later in the afternoon, at around 2:30 PM, Amit Shah will inaugurate the office of the Police Commissioner. He will also inaugurate the Jyoti Bishnu Auditorium, marking another key development-related event during his visit.

The Home Minister is expected to return to Delhi later in the evening.

With Assembly elections approaching, Amit Shah’s visit is being closely watched, as it combines administrative inaugurations with public outreach, indicating the Centre’s focus on Assam ahead of the polls.
