The accused has been identified as Sanjeev Baidya, who falsely projected himself as a qualified medical practitioner in the Dhupdhara area.AdvertismentBaidya, a resident of Naya Bazar under Jengraimukh police station in Majuli district, had been operating from Friends Medical and Kapil Medical stores in Dhupdhara, where he treated patients while introducing himself as “Dr Sanjeev Baidya.” Police said he also provided medical treatment at several pharmacies in Dudhnoi, Boko and Chaygaon.The arrest was made following a tip-off from a confidential source. A police team led by Dhupdhara police station officer-in-charge Biswajit Nath apprehended the accused from Friends Medical.Police have registered a case against him under Sections 319(2), 316(2), 336(2) and 125/271 of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).
