The festival opened with a series of colourful and vibrant programmes aimed at promoting the rich natural and cultural heritage of the region.AdvertismentThe inaugural day began with a vibrant cultural procession in the morning, followed by the formal inauguration of the main gate of the Manas Festival and a tree plantation drive. The main gate was inaugurated by Barin Boro, Range Officer of the Bansbari Range of Manas, in the presence of festival organisers and participants.Organised with the objective of promoting Manas on the global platform, the festival highlights local cuisine, culture, traditions, traditional attire, tea, and tourism potential of the region. Several attractions have been set up for visitors, including the Zubeen Garg Park, an ethnic village showcasing indigenous lifestyles, a fun fair, and a trade fair.
