"Amid the prevailing instability in Bangladesh and heightened tension along the international border, a Border Security Force (BSF) jawan was shot while on duty at the India–Bangladesh border in Tripura on Monday.Advertisment The injured jawan has been identified as Bipin Kumar (35), a member of the 97th Battalion of the BSF. The incident took place in the Maheshpur border area under the Dharmanagar subdivision of North Tripura district. Following the firing, fellow personnel immediately rescued him and shifted him to a nearby hospital, where he is currently undergoing medical treatment. In response to the incident, security has been further tightened along the India–Bangladesh international border in the region.
