Panic and outrage gripped the city after a shocking incident of violence was reported late at night in the Bhutnath area, where a youth was brutally assaulted in what is being treated as an attempt to murder. The horrifying incident, involving a merciless beating, was captured on camera and has since triggered widespread concern among residents.

According to initial reports, the victim has been identified as Dipanshu Sharma. He was allegedly attacked and severely beaten by another youth identified as Raja, also known as Saru Apa. The visuals of the assault, which have gone viral, clearly depict the brutality of the attack and have drawn strong reactions from the public.

Speaking to the media, Dipanshu Sharma said that he was returning with his friends when they noticed Raja involved in a roadside altercation with another boy and a girl. Sharma and his friends confronted him and advised him not to fight on the roadside and to resolve the issue elsewhere. However, this reportedly enraged Raja, who then turned violent and began assaulting Sharma.

Following the incident, a case has been registered at the Bharalumukh Police Station. Police have launched an investigation to determine the exact sequence of events leading to the assault, and further legal action will be taken based on the findings of the probe.

The incident has once again highlighted the growing menace of unruly and intoxicated youths on the city’s streets during late-night hours, raising serious concerns about public safety. Citizens have urged authorities to intensify night patrolling and enforce stricter measures to prevent such violent incidents in the future.
