The accused allegedly demanded ₹2.5 lakh from him. When he informed them that he did not have such a large sum, they reportedly threatened to kill him.Kalita recounted that he was attacked multiple times in the back with a sharp weapon during the assault. The attackers then forced him to arrange money immediately. Fearing for his life, he contacted his family and relatives in the early hours of the morning and managed to collect approximately ₹1.70 lakh in his bank account.Robbed and Rendered UnconsciousAfter the money was arranged, the miscreants allegedly looted over ₹1.5 lakh, including cash. The victim further stated that the attackers sprayed an unknown substance on him, causing him to lose consciousness.When he regained his senses, he discovered that his mobile phone and ATM card were missing.Despite his injuries and trauma, Kalita made his way to Platform No. 9, where the Kamrup Express was scheduled to arrive. He boarded the train and reached Pathsala on Saturday morning.Investigation UnderwayRailway Police have reportedly been informed, and further investigation into the incident is expected.
