He stated that the Guwahati–Dibrugarh journey alone could be shortened by nearly four hours, bringing Upper Assam significantly closer to the state capital.Recalling his previous Republic Day address in Dibrugarh, Sarma said he had announced plans for an elevated corridor over Kaziranga, a proposal that had initially been met with scepticism. “Today, we can all see that the Hon’ble Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation stone for a 36-kilometre elevated corridor over Kaziranga at Kaliabor,” he said.The Chief Minister informed that construction of the elevated corridor is expected to be completed within the next two years.
