“What our government has achieved in the last five years, no government can repeal that in the coming 50 years,” Sarma said, expressing confidence in the longevity of his administration’s policies.

Emphasising governance reforms, he added, “The path that Himanta Biswa Sarma has shown will remain the same in the next 50 years. No matter which politician comes, this can’t be changed.”

Referring to recruitment reforms, the chief minister questioned the possibility of returning to past practices. “Can anyone take money in the name of jobs? When we started giving jobs without taking money, one can’t go back to corruption again,” he said.

Highlighting women-centric welfare initiatives, Sarma said, “We made so many girls and women financially independent through Nijut Moina, Lakhpati Baideu schemes, etc. Can anyone now take that away from them?”

He also spoke about the impact of social welfare programmes on economically weaker sections. “So many poor families have benefited from Orunodoi. Can that be stopped now?” he asked.

Claiming strong public backing for these initiatives, Sarma stated, “No one has the courage to stop these schemes now, otherwise the public will rise in protest.”

Himanta Biswa Sarma further added, “The work I have done has reached a point where it can’t be stopped now. No one can take money now. No Rakesh Paul will be born again.”
