The project is expected to streamline freight movement and reduce transportation costs for industries operating across the Northeast, thereby opening a new chapter in regional infrastructure development.The terminal was formally inaugurated by Kamalpur constituency MLA Diganta Kalita in the presence of senior officials from the Rangiya Division of the Northeast Frontier Railway. With this milestone, the private railway station developed under Deka’s initiative has also been incorporated into the Indian Railways network map — a rare achievement for a privately owned logistics facility.Developed under the PM Gati Shakti national master plan, the project spans nearly 300 bighas of land and carries an estimated investment of ₹245 crore.
