Arunachal: A trip to Arunachal Pradesh’s Sela Pass turned tragic after three tourists went missing while exploring the snow around Sela Lake.

According to information available, the tourists were in the lake area, spending time in the snow, when they suddenly went out of contact. The incident occurred at the popular high-altitude tourist spot in Arunachal’s Tawang region.

Rescue teams later recovered one of the three tourists, but the person was found dead. The remaining two tourists have not been traced so far, and search operations are continuing.

The tourists had travelled from Assam to Arunachal Pradesh for sightseeing. Preliminary information indicates that they were from South India and had earlier visited Kaziranga and other destinations in Assam before heading to Arunachal.
