He noted that Akhil Gogoi secured victory in the previous election with only a handful of votes and expressed uncertainty about the outcome in the upcoming polls. Despite his criticism, Ajmal extended well-wishes, stating, "I will pray for Akhil Gogoi."Ajmal also took aim at Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma, accusing him of using AI technology to morph photos and portray himself as a "hero" during his recent visit to Dubai. Regarding the chargesheet against singer Zubin Garg, Ajmal described it as "a drama" and suggested the CM's mindset is "very bad." He added a personal note of caution: "If I say something, he might file a case against me too."On the issue of AIUDF MLAs potentially defecting to the Asom Gana Parishad (AGP), Ajmal remained unfazed, saying, "We have no objection if any of our MLAs go to AGP. Instead, calculate how many AGP MLAs are coming to us." He urged AGP not to worry about AIUDF, asserting that without the BJP's support, "AGP would be reduced to zero."In a more conciliatory tone toward other opposition figures, Ajmal expressed support for Akhil Gogoi and Lurinjyoti Gogoi, hoping both would win seats in the assembly. "The legislature needs opposition members," he said, adding, "I will pray for both of them."Also Read: Delhi Blanketed in Toxic Smog as AQI Hits Severe Levels; GRAP-4 Restrictions EnforcedAdvertismentAdvertisment Read the Next Article
