Badruddin Ajmal lashes out at Assam CM: 'Ungrateful', 'Hypocrite' and 'Anti-Muslim'

Maulana Badruddin Ajmal, the founder of the Assam United Democratic Front (AIUDF), has strongly criticized Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma over his policies towards the Miya community.

 Ajmal accused Sarma of being ungrateful and hypocritical, saying, "The Chief is ungrateful" and "The Chief Minister used to eat and live at the Miya's house at one time".

Ajmal also questioned Sarma's authority to refuse the Miya community a place in Assam, asking, "Who is he to refuse the Miya community a place in Assam?" He warned that the people of Assam won't keep Sarma in power for long, stating, "The people of Assam won't keep the Chief Minister for long".

The AIUDF leader further alleged that Sarma is targeting Muslims in the state, saying, "It's the chief ministers of Assam and UP who openly talk about oppressing the Muslims". He warned that karma will catch up with Sarma, stating, "Karma will hit back at Assam CM, he won't get to sit at the seat of Assam CM for so long if his atrocities against Muslims continue"Ajmal's criticism comes amid reports of tensions between the AIUDF and the ruling party in Assam.

Notably, Ajmal suffered a significant defeat in the recent Lok Sabha elections, losing to Congress leader Rakibul Hussain by a huge margin. This defeat has been attributed to Chief Minister Sarma's efforts to politically isolate Ajmal, who is seen as a threat to Assam's integrity due to his Islamist leanings.
