The incident occurred at Sneharoi Apartment, where a gang of armed criminals targeted the residence of businessman Anil Deka in what residents described as a meticulously planned operation. Police sources said four assailants arrived in a white Swift car and carried out the robbery over nearly 40 minutes, moving with precision and confidence.Anil Deka was not at home at the time, as he had gone to drop off his daughter, who is pursuing higher studies abroad. Taking advantage of his absence, the robbers stormed the house and launched a brutal assault on his wife, Karabi Deka, and the family driver, using a pistol and sharp weapons.According to the victim, the attack began around 9 pm when the main gate was still open. “They rang the doorbell and the moment the door opened, they barged in with a gun and a dagger,” Karabi Deka told reporters.One of the assailants held her from behind, pressed a dagger to her neck, and threatened to slit her throat if she raised an alarm. “They were all speaking in Hindi.
