It is to be noted that a large part of Northeast India has continued to experience cold weather in recent weeks.

Earlier on Tuesday, the India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued warnings of dense fog, falling day temperatures, and fresh snowfall in the higher reaches of Arunachal Pradesh over the coming days.

According to the IMD’s Regional Meteorological Centre in Guwahati, dry weather prevailed across Assam, Meghalaya, Nagaland, Manipur, Mizoram, and Tripura over the last 24 hours, while isolated places in Arunachal Pradesh reported light rain. Light to moderate snowfall is expected in the higher altitudes of Arunachal Pradesh, even as the rest of the region remains largely dry.
