Assam: School principal arrested for alleged mental harassment of teacher in Karimganj

A shocking incident has caused controversy in the Kalain Higher Secondary School in Karimganj district, Assam, after a teacher was hospitalized due to alleged mental torture by the school principal.

According to reports, Sirajul Ambia, the principal of the school, had been subjecting assistant teacher Shilu Chanda to mental torture for a long time. The situation escalated yesterday when Sirajul allegedly insulted Shilu in front of students and guardians, leading to her becoming ill and fainting in the classroom.

Shilu was immediately taken to a local hospital for treatment. Following the incident, her husband filed a complaint against Sirajul at Kalain police station, leading to the principal's arrest.

The police have confirmed that Sirajul is currently in custody and is being questioned. The incident has sent shockwaves in the Kalain area, with many calling for strict action against the accused principal.
