They were immediately rushed to Gauhati Medical College and Hospital (GMCH) in a critical condition.Eyewitnesses said the Bolero hit the girls from behind with tremendous force while they were walking along the roadside. Adnin died instantly.Enraged over the tragedy, local residents and onlookers set the Bolero vehicle on fire. Thick plumes of smoke billowed from the burning SUV as angry crowds gathered at the site.Hajo police and fire tenders reached the spot promptly, but tension continues to prevail in the area.Police have seized the remains of the torched vehicle and launched an investigation.
