Assam: Youth from Jamugurihat Allegedly Murdered in Jharkhand

A man from Jamugurihat in Assam'sSonitpur was allegedly murdered in Jharkhand on Tuesday, where he was employed as a private security guard.

The deceased was identified as Kailash Nath, a resident of the Bamunbari village in Jamugurihat.

Family members said that Kailash was the youngest son of the late Indreshwar Nath. He was employed as a security guard in a private company outside the state and had been there for several years.

According to reports, the unidentified persons murdered him and dumped his body at Rajkharsawan Junction Railway Station in Jharkhand, where local police later recovered it.

The incident reportedly occurred just as Kailash Nath was preparing to return home for the Bhogali Bihu  celebrations. However, the exact motive behind the crime is still not known. Family members have suspected that the incident may be due to some personal enmity but have not revealed further details.

The police have already begun an investigation into the incident.

His family, which is in deep distress, has appealed to the government for assistance in bringing the deceased's body back to their home in Jamugurihat from Jharkhand, where it still remains.

Locals have further called for a thorough investigation into the alleged murder.
