The biography will be included in the Modern Indian Language (MIL) syllabus across 14 major Indian languages, enabling students, particularly Assam"s youth, to study the life and achievements of the celebrated singer. In a parallel tribute, Gauhati University revealed that its Centre for Performing Arts and Culture will be renamed in Zubeen Garg"s honour, recognising his immense contributions to Assam"s music and cultural identity. To further commemorate him, the university will install a statue of Garg at the centre"s entrance, serving as a lasting symbol of inspiration for students and artists. A coffee table book chronicling his artistic journey and accomplishments will also be published. Additionally, Gauhati University will introduce a “Zubeen"s Songs” category at its inter-college youth festival, encouraging young talents to perform his music and keep his artistic spirit alive.
