He added that the development-oriented initiatives of the Centre, coupled with the relentless efforts of the BJP–JDU government in Bihar to build a Shreshtha Bihar, have brought all-round progress to the state.Saikia said the people of Bihar have “broken all barriers” and expressed their confidence in the BJP–JDU alliance through the EVMs. He added that the resounding victory of the Narendra Modi–led BJP and the Nitish Kumar–led JDU has once again “established the strength of nationalism” in Bihar.Expressing gratitude to the people of Bihar, Saikia said the previous BJP–JDU government worked with the philosophy of Integral Humanism, as advocated by Jana Sangh founder Pandit Deendayal Upadhyaya. Through schemes covering food security, drinking water, electricity, pucca houses, self-reliance programmes, women's empowerment, and unemployment allowances for youth, the government had prioritised the upliftment of the poor. As a result, he said, the people overwhelmingly rejected the opposition and voted for continued development. He further stated that the election results clearly show a public rejection of the Congress party’s “minority appeasement policies” and its caste-based politics. According to him, the Bihar results will directly influence the upcoming Assam polls, adding that “the Congress party is now like a setting sun.” He said that despite allying with a strong party like RJD, Congress faced humiliation in Bihar, and similar attempts in Assam—by joining hands with regional parties—will “yield zero results.”Himanta Biswa Sarma: ‘Where Rahul Gandhi Goes, BJP Wins’Meanwhile, commenting on the Bihar mandate, Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma said the results reaffirm that the BJP will perform even better in Assam.“Wherever Rahul Gandhi goes, BJP wins. In fact, Rahul Gandhi is now the BJP’s star campaigner,” Sarma remarked. He added that the outcome in Bihar has strengthened the belief that Assam’s results will be “even better” than Bihar’s.Taking a dig at the opposition, Sarma said, “The alliances being formed by opposition parties are only for fixing marriage dates, not for elections. Wherever Akhil Gogoi goes, he will spoil the situation—like pouring salt into milk. There’s nothing to worry about.”He added that while opposition leaders “spend their time in hotels,” BJP leaders are working on the ground among people. “I will continue working for the people, as I have been doing for decades,” Sarma said. Also Read: Will Nitish Kumar Shake Up Bihar Politics Again?
