He will formally roll out the Vibrant Villages Programme at Natanpur village — a flagship initiative aimed at strengthening infrastructure, improving connectivity and boosting livelihood opportunities in border areas. The Home Minister will also address a public gathering at the venue.This will mark Shah’s third trip to Assam since late December, underlining the BJP leadership’s heightened focus on the poll-bound state. Assembly elections are expected to be held in March-April, with the ruling party seeking a third consecutive term in power across the state’s 126 constituencies.Following his engagements in Cachar, Shah is scheduled to travel to Agartala before returning to Guwahati later in the evening.On Saturday, he will attend the annual day parade of the Central Reserve Police Force at the Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex.
