During his address, the religious leader praised Assam Chief Minister Dr. Himanta Biswa Sarma, describing him as one of the most prominent political figures in the country. “After Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath, Himanta Biswa Sarma stands among India’s top leaders,” Maharaj said.

He further added, “We need leaders like Himanta Biswa Sarma, a true Hindu nationalist, to be elected as MLAs and represent the interests of the Hindu community.”

Commenting on voting patterns, Kalicharan Maharaj claimed that Muslims often vote as a unified bloc, whereas only 40–45% of Hindu votes remain consolidated. He emphasized the need for greater political unity among Hindus to ensure stronger representation.

Expressing support for the Assam government’s decision to grant arms licenses to indigenous people, Maharaj called it a “bold and necessary step” toward ensuring community self-protection. He also said that infiltration into Assam must be stopped to preserve the state’s identity and security.

The spiritual leader also spoke about the late singer Zubeen Garg, describing him as a “Hindu nationalist” and pointing to his Lord Shiva tattoo as a symbol of devotion and faith.

Concluding his speech, Kalicharan Maharaj expressed confidence that Hindu nationalist leaders would perform strongly in the upcoming Bihar elections, asserting, “Hindus will win, and leaders who stand for Sanatan Dharma will triumph.”

Kalicharan Maharaj has previously courted controversy for his remarks on Mahatma Gandhi, whom he had accused of favoring Muslims during India’s partition. In an earlier speech, he allegedly stated, “Gandhi destroyed the country… salutations to Nathuram Godse, who killed him.” The comments had drawn sharp criticism nationwide, though some Hindu organizations had supported his views.
