The Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) has planned a massive welcome rally at the airport to greet him.In the evening at around 6:00 PM, PM Modi will participate in a historic Bagurumba Dohou (grand performance of the traditional Bodo folk dance ‘Bagurumba’) at the Arjun Bhogeswar Baruah Sports Complex (Sarusajai Stadium) in Guwahati.The event is expected to feature 8,000 to 10,000 artistes, making it one of the largest cultural spectacles in the region.He will stay overnight at the Koinadhara State Guest House in Guwahati’s Khanapara.On the second day (Sunday, January 18), the Prime Minister will depart from Khanapara at 9:30 AM and head to Kaliabor (in Nagaon district). At 11:00 AM, he will address a public rally and participate in the inauguration/foundation-laying ceremony for key development projects.A major highlight will be laying the foundation stone for the Rs 6,957-crore, 34.5-km elevated corridor through Kaziranga National Park (from Kaliabor to Bokakhat), designed to facilitate safe wildlife movement during floods, reduce roadkill, and improve connectivity along National Highway-715.The Prime Minister is also expected to flag off new train services, including routes such as Dibrugarh–Gomti and Guwahati–Rohtak, along with other rail initiatives to boost connectivity.At 12:15 PM, PM Modi will return from Kaliabor to Guwahati Airport.
