In a statement to the media, Gupta revealed that Singaporean authorities have submitted Zubeen’s complete post-mortem report, along with toxicology findings and documents from the Singapore Port Authority. These reports, he suggested, may hold the answers to lingering questions about the circumstances surrounding Zubeen’s death.

The top CID official hinted that the findings could be crucial in the investigation, possibly unveiling new leads that might reshape the direction of the case. He added that the Special Investigation Team (SIT) is expected to submit its chargesheet before the court within the next three months, though it remains unclear what specific charges will be involved.

The SDGP also mentioned that, as per Singaporean law, witness statements from certain individuals based in Singapore will be formally sent to Assam to be incorporated into the investigation. This raises speculation that crucial information from key witnesses might soon come to light, potentially leading to new revelations.

“If necessary, the SIT may even summon Zubeen’s former manager, Tarsem Mittal, for questioning,” Gupta noted, suggesting that Mittal's involvement in the case could be examined further, depending on the evidence gathered.

So far, the SIT has recorded statements from nearly a hundred individuals, and while much has been kept under wraps, Gupta assured the public that the team is working relentlessly to uncover the truth and deliver justice for Zubeen.
