Speaking at a special lecture titled “Judicial Professionalism, Etiquette and Expectations from Judicial Officers” in Assam, he underscored the judiciary’s critical role in fostering public confidence through impartial and equitable rulings.

The address coincided with the launch of the All Assam Judges Association’s official website, which Justice Bhuyan praised as a tool to enhance connectivity and solidarity among judicial officers. “The public’s faith in the judiciary hinges not only on the quality of our judgments but also on how society views us as guardians of justice,” he remarked, urging officers to ensure their conduct reflects impartiality and avoids any perception of bias.

Speaking to district judicial officers in Assam, Justice Bhuyan advocated for steadfast adherence to constitutional principles, practical decision-making, and restraint in both personal and professional spheres. He advised maintaining professional distance from other government officials to safeguard the judiciary’s institutional integrity.

Highlighting the district judiciary’s significance, he described it as the bedrock of a robust and trustworthy national judicial framework. The event was attended by notable figures, including the Chief Justice of the Gauhati High Court, Justice Ashutosh Kumar, and other senior dignitaries.
