Bollywood’s Hero No.1 Rushed to CritiCare Hospital Following Sudden Health Scare

Veteran Bollywood actor Govinda was rushed to CritiCare Asia Multispeciality Hospital in Mumbai on Wednesday after reportedly losing consciousness, news agency PTI reported.

The 60-year-old actor’s hospitalisation comes just a day after he visited veteran actor Dharmendra, who is currently recovering at Breach Candy Hospital. Govinda was seen exiting the hospital premises with a grim expression in a video that surfaced online.

Notably, this marks the second time within a year that Govinda has been admitted to a hospital. In October last year, the actor met with an accident at his Mumbai residence when his licensed revolver accidentally discharged, injuring his knee. The incident occurred around 4:45 am, just as he was preparing to leave for Kolkata.

According to Mumbai Police, the mishap took place when Govinda was placing his revolver back in the cupboard and it accidentally fired. He was admitted to a Mumbai hospital and discharged three days later.

Recalling the incident at the time, Govinda had told reporters, “I was about to leave for a show in Kolkata. It was about 5 in the morning, and it just fell and went off. I was shocked by what happened, and when I looked down, I saw a fountain of blood. Then I made a video, spoke to the doctor, and got admitted.”

Govinda, a member of the Eknath Shinde-led Shiv Sena, was accompanied by his wife Sunita Ahuja and daughter Tina Ahuja during both hospital visits.
