Rani Mukerji’s upcoming action thriller Mardaani 3 has been creating a strong buzz ever since its trailer was released. Fans and many Bollywood celebrities have praised the film, especially as it marks 30 years of Rani’s journey in cinema. The film is set to hit theatres on January 30, and ahead of its release, details about its OTT premiere are now out.

According to a report by “OTTplay”, Mardaani 3 will stream on Netflix after completing its theatrical run. The film is expected to arrive on the platform after March 27, 2026, with streaming starting from midnight for subscribers. Following the standard eight-week gap after its cinema release. Earlier, the film was planned for a February 27 release, but it has now been advanced by a month. As per Bollywood “Hungama”, the Central Board of Film Certification (CBFC) granted the movie a U/A 16+ certificate on January 14. The film’s runtime is 2 hours, 17 minutes, and 7 seconds.

Directed by Abhiraj Minawala and produced by Aditya Chopra under the Yash Raj Films banner, Mardaani 3 sees Rani Mukerji return as the fearless police officer "Shivani Shivaji Roy". The film once again highlights dark and disturbing issues in society. While the earlier films focused on human trafficking and sexual violence, the third part promises another intense and hard-hitting story
 
In the film, Shivani (Rani Mukerji) is drawn into a dangerous case involving a beggar mafia and the kidnapping of young girls. As she races against time to rescue the victims, the story begins with a new villain, Amma (Mallika Prasad), who challenges Shivani both physically and mentally.
 
In an interview with Zoom, Rani spoke about why such films are important. “She said that audiences need to face uncomfortable truths, as ignoring these realities only keeps people unaware of what is happening around them.”
