The film will be released in around 20 cinema halls across Assam. Ahead of its official release, the filmmaker has arranged a special screening of the movie today at 7:30 PM.

Addressing the press, Rima Das expressed hope that audiences in Assam would warmly welcome the film. She said that her duty as a producer and director is to present the film to the audience, but whether people adopt and love it, will ultimately depend on them.

Speaking about the storyline, she explained that in the previous film, Village Rockstars, the character 'Dhunu' dreamed of owning a guitar, and the story ended when she finally got it. In Village Rockstars 2, the narrative will go deeper into Dhunu’s life, focusing on her dreams, her relationship with her mother, and the everyday realities of village life.

Rima Das said the film also highlights how people living in villages have many dreams and talents, and if given the opportunity, they can showcase their abilities to the world.

She further added that the film reflects the emotional bond people share with their land and soil. According to her, many people sell their land without thinking about its value, and through the film, she wants to remind people to respect their soil and protect nature and forests.

Notably, the film has been shot entirely in a rural village setting, staying true to the filmmaker’s signature style of portraying authentic stories from the heart of Assam.
