Canada Issues Nationwide Warrant for Indian-Origin Man in Murder of 27-Year-Old Woman

A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for 27-year-old Manpreet Singh of Brampton, Ontario, in connection with the second-degree murder of Amanpreet Saini, a 27-year-old woman of Indian descent.

A Canada-wide arrest warrant has been issued for 27-year-old Manpreet Singh of Brampton, Ontario, in connection with the second-degree murder of Amanpreet Saini, a 27-year-old woman of Indian descent.

Saini’s body was discovered with severe traumatic injuries in Lincoln Park on October 21. The Niagara Regional Police Service confirmed that Singh is the prime suspect and is believed to have fled the country shortly after the incident.

“This was a targeted attack, and there is no ongoing risk to public safety,” police stated in an official release. Authorities have urged the public not to approach Singh if sighted and to immediately contact 911.

Sources revealed that Singh, whose family hails from Punjab, has escaped to India. Canadian law enforcement has formally reached out to Indian authorities to secure his arrest and extradition.

Saini, originally from Sangrur district in Punjab, had been residing in Toronto for several years prior to the tragedy.

The investigation remains active as police continue to gather evidence in the case.
